1934 Norton International 490cc OHC.

1934 Norton International 500cc from long term ownership. The engine and frame are not matching numbers but are both genuine Norton International. The engine was build in November 1933 and was delivered from the factory in 1934 as an International M30 build to racing specification. The frame is a genuine International frame and is most likely 1935.

The Girder front fork is an original International front fork with parallel legs (very rare to find). Only the International front fork had parallel legs, all other Norton models had Girder forks with splayed legs at the bottom.

Original bronze long neck TT carburettor fitted.

Correct and original Andre steering damper

Brooklands silencer fitted.

Ian Bennet needle roller big end fitted.

Coming with the bike is an original 8 inch Lucas headlamp (to be restored), headlamp stays, original Norton battery holder and a Lucas dynamo, so one could fit lights. Norton rubber knee pads are also included .

The Norton International is serviced and in very good running condition. It will start first kick and sets into an instant idle, even from cold.

The bike is an older restoration so it is not in mint condition but it presents very nicely and goes really well.
